Terrass Hotel – Reviews and Price

Average room prices : 200$

We recently booked a one night stay at Terrass while traveling to Paris to propose to my girlfriend. We had heard that they had one of the best rooftop bars and restaurants in all of Paris so We was hoping We would be able to take advantage of this terrific view to pop the question. We contacted the hotel staff to tell them of my plans while still in the United States and was so pleasantly surprised by how responsive and accommodating their Chief Concierge (Anastasia) was. Not only did they upgrade my room upon check-in, but they helped me locate a photographer, gave me the best view of downtown Paris at their delicious restaurant, and went above and beyond my wildest expectations to make my special night one to remember. We will forever appreciate this hotel and the memories they provided as well as how beautiful the location was.

After several days in the heart of the city for a conference, We was thrilled to escape to Montmartre. The village is a quintessential Paris experience and We spent several days exploring the area on foot. Hotel Terrass was the perfect location for this adventure. The lobby is modern, upscale and incredibly inviting. The staff members were all extremely polite, friendly and seemed genuinely enthusiastic. They were happy to answer questions and provided very well informed responses and recommendations. We especially appreciated the booklet and app feature which was provided to me upon check in. It contains employee reviews of area restaurants, attractions and theater events. It was updated for the week and was a very handy reference from more of a local perspective. Definitely off the beaten track and thoughtful in terms of offering a wide range of suggestions. My room was beautiful and incredibly spacious, with a mini-suite type of arrangement with a large walk-thru closet (to the shower and sink), plenty of storage for clothing and suitcases, and a minWe refrigerator. The decor of the room was whimsical and lush. The highlight of my room was a terrace window that opened up onto a small shared patio with a garden. The room highly exceeded my expectations.

The restaurant was lovely. We spent time on the patio/Terrace and loved the picturesque view of the Eiffel Tower and the rest of the city. Other guests and We literally gasped when we saw the Tower light up and twinkle on the hour. The patio decor was terrific and the music was relaxing. We was there in February, so it was cold and windy, but We could see that the garden would be exquisite come spring. Plenty of seating of various types including a swinging couch, bistro high tops and traditional cafe tables. The service was excellent. All of the servers were friendly and went out of their way to check on my experience. The signature cocktails were expertly made and were garnished with a lot of attention.

The hotel’s location was ideal. Very easy to walk toward the Metro, or to hide away all day along the small streets and hills of Montmartre. Everything We needed was easily within walking distance, including quirky and artistic jewelry shops, farmer’s stands for fresh produce and seafood, multiple fromageries and patisseries, etc. You will not go hungry here.

The hotel’s spa offered a good selection of appointment times and services. You can book the sauna and steam room for private appointments, which is a nice escape. We enjoyed my massage very much.

We have stayed in Terrass over the years when we traveled to Paris. We missed the last couple of years because they were renovating.
We like the renovated modern look & feel of the hotel. You are welcomed with a bottle of wine in your room. The staff Esther & some of the older members are very warm & ever helpful. The hotel was fully bookes during this time, however they still managed to fulfill our requests like an ironing board early in the morning or a salon appointment on a Sunday.

The rooms are spacious and spotless. My colleagues enjoyed the morning breakfast.

My favorite part of the hotel is the terrace. They have both an al fresco terrace & a rooftop restaurant. You can see the entire city including the Eiffel from here.

You can walk up to the Sacre Cour from here. There are quite a few restaurants , Boulangeries & fruit shops near the hotel. We love the walk up the cobblestoned roads.

Overall, we had a comfortable stay here. We’ll come again next year.
